Things unseen

A mumble in my head, a thought uncrystallized
Unverified, unexamined
Did I create this, is it mine
Or has it arrived from some promethean depth beyond my skull
Unbidden, unwanted
Seeking birth into the world
To be made tangible
Threatening reality with its potential
Unknown, uncertain
Best left alone, to wither, neglected, lurking
Its body formless
Unacknowledged, unshared, unborn
Forever unseen
